Wow! What a year!
The past year has been described as unprecedented, challenging, exhausting, unbelievable, and isolating. For many, it has been a juggle to focus on our businesses, while simultaneously addressing the immediate needs of others. #InThisTogether
Transitions & Creativity
As a marketing professional, sasse worked around the clock (literally) to help businesses and organizations quickly prioritize and strategically implement plans. sasse was committed to supporting businesses during this time. Owners, once reluctant to engage in social media, understood the need to implement changes to connect in a constantly changing environment. Many others were willing to step out of their comfort zone and navigate the next best steps in their marketing strategies. #InThisTogether
Whoo-hoo, The Silver Lining
Camps went from kid-centered programming to family experience weekends. Tutoring and educational businesses provided important support services for distance learning and coaching. Fundraising moved “virtual” with fitness festivals events, Facebook Live for #Giving Tuesday campaigns and online programs to support their important work. Health care businesses were on the frontlines providing support for aging residents in our communities. Transitioning quickly to new business models, filled the needs of the community and promoted sustainability for businesses and organizations. #InThisTogether
Community & Leadership
Exemplary leadership was demonstrated by many. Bethesda Beat kept the community informed during the pandemic. The Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce, supported and advocated for businesses in a variety of ways throughout the region. There were so many colleagues that stepped up to support residents, businesses, organizations and the community throughout 2020. It was amazing to see the heartfelt sense of community and creative energy that was shared during this time. sasse appreciated the opportunity to help create a video — Pivot, Plan and Persevere, initiate the #JustMaskIt campaign, reboot the membership guest blog and provide social media support throughout the year. #InThisTogether
Make It A Game Changer
As we approach 2021 with uncertainty, I am still the ultimate optimist. (My father told me that there was always a second half to a football game—-and anything could happen to turn it around!) Working together, I look forward to the new year! #InThisTogether
