Your Social Media Strategy, Email, and Blog

Here’s an interesting fact: the number three is powerful in meaning, impact and as a communication tool to remember important messages.

For example, fire safety: Stop, Drop & Roll. When you are caught in a rip tide – relax, indicate and parallel.  Many of our first children’s books use three characters: The Three Musketeers, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, or the Three Little Pigs. Sets of three have had a profound impact in society. The rule of three in writing states: three is the most effective, satisfying grouping. The Latin phrase “omne trium perfectum,” which means that everything that comes in threes is perfect, or every set of three is complete, conveys the same idea. I am going to discuss the power of three integrated – social media, email communications and your blog, which will have a powerful impact on your business.

Buzz, Blast & Blog … power up and integrate these three for impact!

1. Buzz (A social media strategy). Social media is a vehicle for you to engage with your current and prospective clients. To make the most of your engagement opportunities, you need to have a well-thought-out strategy for how you are going to use social media, including what platforms you’re on, how often you post, what you post (content marketing strategy) and who you target.  

2. Blast (Email blasts). Social media allows you to engage with prospective clients; email is where you deepen your relationship with existing contacts. Email blasts, which should go out on a regular basis, help you stay in touch with your clients and give them information about your field, your services and your offerings. Platforms like Constant Contact, MailChimp and others allow you to reach a wide array of people with a single email, who ideally will find the information you send important enough to share.

3. Blog (A Blog). Writing a blog for your business is a way for you to establish yourself as a resource to your community, and become the go-to expert in your topic.
Your social media strategy, email blasts and blog are a powerful threesome. They are an important three to remember when you want to stay connected to your current clients as a resource and to attract new clients. As August approaches, so do the Olympics. Go for the gold!!!
